3rdGrade Supply List 2017-18

Rocky Mount Third Grade 2017-2018 Supply List

Welcome to 3rd Grade!

We are so excited to have you this year! We have drastically reduced our supply request, in order to only have what we NEED, and to hopefully purchase an IXL membership for the grade. If we run out of items, we’ll just ask you for those! Thanks for your help. Some supplies will be individual, and many will be shared as a classroom, please don’t feel the need to label anything.

Required for ALL Students

24 colored pencils

1 pair of scissors

8 glue sticks

1 handheld pencil sharpener

24 sharpened #2 pencils

1 ruler

4 spiral notebooks, about 70 pages each

1 pack of WIDE ruled notebook paper

2 pocket folders

1 Rocky Mount Agenda (from PTA)

1 1 ½ inch durable binder, clear plastic cover

1 set of 5 tabbed pocket dividers

2 boxes of tissues

1 pair of headphones to be kept in class

1 Sharpie

Girls Purchase:

1 bottle of hand sanitizer

1 set of pencil top erasers

4 dry erase markers

Boys Purchase:

1 roll of paper towels

1 bottle of soap

8 blue pens

*Requested for All Students

1 $10 donation for an IXL grade level membership, check made payable to Rocky Mount, subject line IXL, payment envelopes will be available at Sneak-a-Peek*

1 Device for your child to use daily in the classroom: Rocky Mount is a BYOD school. Students with iPads/ chrome books/ windows tablets are encouraged to bring them to school for use in the classroom for educational purposes under the guidance of an instructor.* (For compatibility purposes, we have found that the Apple iPad does work better over others, though any CCSD Wi-Fi compatible device would be appreciated)

*We understand that these are unconventional requests for school supply lists, and while they are not a requirement, we want to usher the children into the 21st century of learning with technology in conjunction with our classroom instruction, along with your guidance. Both of these tools will open new learning avenues for the children in the classroom. Thank you for your support!
